Could you help monitor Cusop’s nearly 12 miles of fantastic public rights of way/footpaths?If you enjoy walking in our countryside and would like to help keep our paths accessible, why not become the parish’s volunteer Footpaths Officer?
It’s not a demanding job, but vital. It means walking all the paths in the parish regularly to check that they are clear, and well signed, and alterting the parish clerk to works that need to be done – damaged stiles, lack of finger posts, poor access, and so on. It would also be useful to keep the walks noticeboard up to date. You’re the council’s eyes and ears.
The role could grow if you had time and energy.
The job doesn’t involve anything physical (apart from walking the footpaths), nor does it need to involve any administration.
Job share suggestions are welcome.
